I’m selling my vehicle, it needs to be notarized, what do I do?
When an individual decides to sell a vehicle there are several steps to complete this process. First the seller needs to have a buyer for the vehicle (or the vehicle may be given as a gift), the vehicle registration should be left blank until meeting with the notary. Proper ID (such as driver license) must be presented. The buyer does not need to be present for the form to be completed and notarized, however the seller must have the name and address of the buyer which will need added to the form. The buyer must complete the top portion of the form but prior to signing, must be given an oath. Final step, the notary will complete their appropriate section sign, date and stamp the form.
